FAQ
General
What’s the difference between a sanitiser and a disinfectant?
Sanitiser must be alcohol based. And it must state “Hand Sanitiser” in the packaging with NPRA approval. A disinfectant is NOT a hand sanitiser. Disinfectants are harsh & usually used for surfaces (eg floor cleaners), this may cause stickiness & irritation to your hands. WHO (World Health Organisation) recommends alcohol-based sanitisers as the only known means for effectively inactivating harmful microorganisms.
Why choose The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser?
It is the most well-thought sanitiser that contains 100% Premium & PURE essential oils for aromatherapy, kills more bacteria than most sanitisers in the market with 99.99974% tested results, and takes care of your hands with fine moisturising serum.
What is the benefit of 100% essential oils?
After you sanitise your hands, the essential oils will stay on your skin and work as aromatherapy.
Why 0% fragrance?
Because this is a leave-on product (not rinse-off product), an overdose of fragrance may cause skin irritation and nausea. Hence we only use 100% PURE essential oils to replace the smell of artificial fragrances.
Why 0% paraben?
Paraben is a preservative linked to harmful side effects such as allergic reactions and cancer. Hence 0% paraben is to avoid allergies and carcinogens.
What is the benefit of 0% Triclosan?
The antibacterial compound Triclosan has been linked to human health problems. Absorption through the skin can result in skin irritations and allergic reactions, especially in children. Hence the benefit of 0% Triclosan.
How do the 4 sanitisers differ?
They are made from 4 different 100% Premium & PURE essential oils that create unique aromatherapeutic experiences.
How much should The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser be used per application?
Hospital researchers recommend rubbing 2ml (~4 sprays for 100ml / 6 sprays for 20ml) on both hands. For electronic items e.g. remote control, laptop, handphone, use 1-2 full sprays and wipe, don’t leave it wet.
Can The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser be used as a surface disinfectant?
Yes, it definitely can. It will leave a pleasant aromatherapy scent, improving holistic well-being. However, it may not be economically advisable if it is used as disinfectant in large quantities.
Does The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser kill germs persistently?
Yes, it is tested to kill 99.99974% of all germs, bacteria and coronavirus.
Is The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser safe for use by children?
Yes. Alcohol-based hand sanitiser is safe to be used by children, with adult supervision. Here are some additional guidelines from FDA.
Be especially careful not to get hand sanitiser in your eyes because it can cause burning and damage to the surface of the eye. Watch young children around dispensers containing hand sanitiser, which are often mounted at eye level and can splash.
Do not drink hand sanitiser. This is particularly important for young children, especially toddlers, who may be attracted by the pleasant smell or brightly colored bottles of hand sanitiser. Drinking even a small amount of hand sanitiser can cause alcohol poisoning in children. (But there is no need to be concerned if your children eat with or lick their hands after using hand sanitiser.)
Do not use hand sanitiser contaminated with potentially toxic types of alcohol. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend consumers use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60 percent ethanol (also referred to as ethyl alcohol).
I have eczema, can I use The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser?
Yes. It is risk-free to use on hands or objects.
Is the alcohol content within safe limits?
Recently, hand sanitisers were recalled by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) due to the detection of high levels of the chemicals acetaldehyde and/or methanol exceeding the pharmaceutical limit.
Please be assured that The Overthink Co. Aroma Hand Sanitiser complies
